Schaafsma Wins Bryant Medal of Excellence Award

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Schaafsma Heating & Cooling, Inc., was recently honored at the annual Bryant Dealer meeting with a Tier 2 Medal of Excellence (MOE) Award. Schaafsma will also go on to compete as one of the top 15 dealers in the nation.

The MOE award is a business enrichment program specifically designed to recognize Bryant dealers like Schaafsma Heating & Cooling that do "whatever it takes" to improve their business. The decision to award a Bryant dealer with the MOE distinction is based on their customer satisfaction, sales growth, and product mix. Additional criteria such as dealer program utilization and the company's self-assessment are also taken into consideration.

In May, Schaafsma will compete against 14 other national MOE Award Winners for the Bryant Dealer of the Year Award (DOTY). Only 15 Bryant dealers are recognized with the MOE award nationally.

Three winners are selected from five identified regions across the United States and Canada. In an effort to level the competitive field, dealers are divided into three tiers, based on their annual sales. This isn't the first time they have been a contender for this award. In 2010 they also competed and were presented with the Dealer of the Year Award.

"It's an honor to win a Medal of Excellence Award again," said Kevin Walsh, president of Schaafsma Heating & Cooling. "As a three-time winner, and a finalist for the Dealer of the Year Award again, I believe our team demonstrates the benefits that Bryant dealers can receive by integrating the 'whatever it takes' methodology into all aspects of their business."

Located in Grand Rapids, Schaafsma has been providing total home comfort to the entire West Michigan area since 1905. Their service technicians are NATE certified which is a one of the primary requirements for the Bryant Factory Authorized Dealer status.
