You've Got 8 Seconds, Be Interesting Or Lose the Sale

The average adult attention span is 8 seconds, according to studies. Therefore, sales professionals must capture a customer’s attention immediately.

While the number of novel marketing options and the continuous changes in the distribution of information can overwhelm business owners, international brand coach, Jenn Morgan says customers are also overwhelmed with the amount of marketing messages coming at them from every direction.

"The solution to overcome marketing overwhelm is to re-define your brand for the new era. What is your business about today? The truth is, we are building a new economy and it has new rules," she says. 

Rule number one is, BE it don't SAY it. That means that HOW you represent yourself is more important than what you SAY about yourself, she explains. And, with so much new media coming at us every day, if you want to capture the hearts and minds of your ideal client you have to be Orgasmic. You've got to be so interesting that men say "wow!" and women say, "I want to be like that!", Ms. Morgan explains.

How to become an Orgasmic Brand?

  1. Rekindle the reason you are so passionate about what you do. If you've been in business for some time, this has

    changed and your value has increased - re-define what you're all about today.
  2. Design your marketing strategy around your strengths and natural talents. If it's not fun for you, you won't do it. Many business owners want to completely hand this off to someone else to do, but that's like having your assistant go out dating for you. Your customers want to engage with the passion that drives the business.
  3. Create a message that feels as good to give as it does to receive. The old economy was all about trying to keep up with the Jones' and creating an image of perfection. The new economy is about creating meaning in the world. How does what you love to do contribute to the world around you?
