The Danfoss Turbocor Board of Directors has appointed Ricardo Schneider president and chief executive officer of Danfoss Turbocor Compressors Inc., Tallahassee, FL, effective January 1, 2009.

Schneider joined Danfoss in 1993 and has held several positions of increasing responsibility in three different countries. He began as a regional sales manager, moved to the position of general manager, and most recently has served as global vice president of Danfoss Air Conditioning. In the latter position, he helped grow the Danfoss business from $100 million to $380 million in less than five years in a very competitive, global air-conditioning market.
