Nexstar®,Inc. and the Nexstar® Legacy Foundation have launched of a new Community Service Award program that acknowledges membercompanies for giving back to the communities that have helped make themsuccessful.

The 2008 Community Service Award goes to Horizon Services ofNew Castle, Delaware. 

Nexstar recently honored Horizon Services for establishing the WarmThe Heart Foundation. This non-profit organization provides replacementfurnaces to needy families who might otherwise ignore the potentiallife-threatening issues of a faulty heating system.

This year, the Warm The Heart Foundation has a goal to purchase and installenough furnaces to warm 15 homes that would have likely gone through wintercold. Over the past three years, they’ve installed 39 new heating systems at nocost to economically distressed families in their area.

Horizon Services’ employees specialize in heating, coolingand plumbing. They’re committed to providing these basic necessities to thoseless fortunate. They believe helping others in need is morally right andessential to their business ethics. The Nexstar Community Service awardincluded a $1,000 donation from Nexstar to the Warm the Heart Foundation.
