"Understanding Manual J,” a CD training package, is the second in a new series of training materials being released by ACCA under the name "HVAC Essentials." These recorded training sessions allow people (individually or in groups) to learn these vital concepts at their own pace, in segments or all at once. The software allows contractors to offer in-house training at a low cost. 

"Understanding Manual J" consists of four CDs, each including one segment of around 60 minutes: “Guidelines and Limitations”, “How Heat Moves and What To Measure”, “Design Conditions and Fenestration”, and “Opaque Surfaces and Duct Systems”. 

Both "Understanding Manual J" and "Understanding Manual D" (the first package in the series) are ideal learning resources for contractors, designers, installers, vocational programs, wholesalers, distributors, building owners and managers, and anyone else with an interest in proper HVAC design and performance, says the ACCA.
