Home Comfort Zones Inc., a provider of residential temperature control and energy management systems, announced that Jim Hermann, board member and private investor, has joined the company as CEO. Hermann is currently preparing the company for new product initiatives and national distribution. Hal Alles, the company’s founder and original CEO, will assume the role of Chief Technology Officer and will retain his position as Chairman of the Board.
Hermann comes to Home Comfort Zones with a successful track record in sales, marketing and business development. He previously owned The Earth Stove Inc., a national manufacturer of wood, pellet and gas stoves and fireplace inserts. Hermann sold the Earth Stove to Lennox International and served as vice president and general manager of their Hearth Products division. He began his career working in a variety of sales and marketing roles at Boise Cascade Corp. and is a graduate of the University of Washington and Harvard Business School.
