Flanders Precisionaire, a maker of filtration products, is in the process of rebuilding after a devastating fire on July 10 that claimed the company’s Bartow, Fla., facility. The building was a total loss.
The next day, Flanders Precisionaire transferred open orders that were assigned to the Florida facility to its other nine locations for continued service. Also, the company has added extra production shifts to its three North Carolina locations in order to continue to service the Southeast.
In Florida, the company temporarily is using a 130,000-plus sq. ft. building (Sealy building) located in Lake Wales, which is about 20 minutes east of the Bartow facility. Plans are to manufacture commercial and industrial products at this location. A 36,000 sq. ft. facility, located across the street from the Bartow facility that was used to store finished goods will be used to manufacture retail pleated products.
Flanders Precisionaire is planning to either rebuild on their current Bartow site, or on another site within the surrounding area.
