The Boards of Directors of the Building Performance Institute (BPI) and Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET) have agreed to explore the creation of a unified standard for the two organizations. The two boards have appointed representatives to a joint committee to investigate the partnership. BPI is a building-performance credentialing, quality-assurance, and national standards-setting organization. RESNET is a not-for-profit membership corporation that sets standards for building energy efficiency ratings.
