Over 100 hvac contractors descended on Charleston, S.C., in mid-February for the fourth annual National Comfort Team’s PerforMaxx Summit, sponsored by National Comfort Institute (NCI).

The two-day event introduced “ComfortMaxx,” the industry’s first third-party heating and cooling system certification program. The program is a specifically outlined procedure that contractors can follow to certify their customer’s home comfort system when it meets certain efficiency requirements. Achieving certification assures the consumer that his or her comfort system is among the top 5% in the nation.
