Ruskin Pressure Seal Damper Ideal for ‘Bubble-Tight’ Applications
Ruskin announces the Pressure Seal Damper (PSD), designed for application in isolation and bubble-tight projects. The PSD provides a cost-efficient solution where zero-leakage is required.
Ruskin says it is ideal for bubble-tight applications where system pressure is 10-inch water gauge (2.5 kPa) or less. Available in standard sizes of 12-inch (305-mm) to 42-inch (1,067-mm) square or round inside duct dimensions, transitions are available for smaller requirements from 4-inch (102-mm) to 11-inch (279-mm). Multiple Pressure Seal Dampers can be configured for larger duct size and isolation filter banks.
The PSD’s slide bar linkage provides excellent sealing properties while using the existing system pressure, Ruskin says. The PSD one-piece, dished blade seals the entire perimeter of the airway opening with ¼-inch-thick neoprene, closed-cell gasket. While the linkage locks down and ensures against leakage, the system pressure against the face of the blade will induce further force against the seal.
For manual operation, the PSD is offered with a worm gear operator and hand wheel. For applications with long periods of time between filter change-outs, this is the most cost-effective approach. For powered operation, Ruskin can provide factory-mounted electric or pneumatic actuators to fit your exact need.

AccuFlo Pre-Assembled Heating Manifold Designed For Ease
The new AccuFlo Pre-assembled Heating Manifold from Zurn PEX is designed for installing multi-loop radiant heating systems. A wrench and a screw gun is all a contractor needs to take this manifold from the box to the wall, according to the company.
Designed for high-flow capacity applications, the AccuFlo is available with port configurations to support up to 12 separate heating loops. Made of extruded brass, the AccuFlo comes pre-assembled with the necessary components and features for accurate temperature and flow control including individual flow meters on the supply header; individual on/off controls on the return header for easy isolation of individual loops; inline air vents with a thermometer, auto air vent, and drain/fill valve; ports to support two to 12 loops.
The AccuFlo also is designed to accept optional actuators should the owner prefer this method for separate loop control.
