The Allied Supply Co. has made a commitment to donate a wide range of high-tech controls equipment — valued at $48,000 — to Dayton’s UA Local 162/MCA of Greater Dayton Mechanical Equipment Service (MES) Training Program. The Honeywell equipment will be used to train local MES apprentices and journeymen enrolled in this Dayton-based training center.

The donation ensures that the training facility has state-of-the-art equipment for new training modules that currently are in development. The modules provide hands-on education in specific area of high-tech digital controls. The UA Local 162 training center graduates about 20 highly-qualified hvac service technicians and service journeymen each year.
