Thermal Arc has launched the first in a series of 3-in-1 multi-process, fully integrated portable welding systems designed to take on many MIG, Stick and TIG applications.  

The introductory Thermal Arc Fabricator 181i system delivers up to 180 Amps of welding output power. Weighing less than 33 lbs. in a small compact system enables superior portability, and the ability to go from job to job as easily as you can go from MIG to Stick to TIG welding, the company said.

The system is ideally suited for farm and ranch use, as well as many other applications such as automotive, light fabrication, technical hobbyists, do-it-yourselfers, maintenance repair and educational training. It comes with a comprehensive list of standard features including: 

• three welding process capabilities (MIG, Stick & TIG)
• detailed weld set up guide for optimum welding performance over a wide range of materials and shielding gases
• digital meters with preview
• infinitely variable voltage control
