Industry veteran Robert Wilkos has been appointed president of Comfort Institute, the organization has announced. According to Comfort Institute founder and CEO Brendan Reid, Wilkos adds core HVAC business growth skills to the organization’s main Home Performance training mission.
In his previous role as business leader/vice-president of Peaden Air Conditioning in Panama City, Fla, Wilkos significantly grew the company’s revenues, market share and service agreements as well as added new services. As a CI Member, Wilkos successfully added Home Performance contracting to the Peaden service mix.
“Home Performance testing and repair is the natural evolution for all residential HVAC contractors,” Wilkos said. “Of the many possible new revenue streams, home performance actually makes the most sense. It is all about making homes cleaner, more comfortable, more energy efficient and safe.”
“We are very excited to have Robert join and lead the CI team,” Reid said. “He’s bringing a proven ability to coach our CI Member companies on how to successfully implement our systems and develop new ones. Implementation and weaving this building science technology into one’s corporate culture is key.”
Wilkos will be speaking at the 4th Annual National ACCA HVACR Service Managers Forum in Nashville on October 20-21.
