Johnson Controls has expanded its line of York Affinity indoor air quality (IAQ) products with three new central dehumidifiers.

The new models, available in 65-, 90- and 135-pint capacities, have been designed to eliminate excess humidity and improve the comfort level of homes, the company says.

The smallest of the three units is specifically designed for tight closet installations, making it the appropriate choice for applications in condominium complexes. However, the unit also will handle homes as large as 3,600 square feet, depending on the geographic location and its energy-efficient construction.

The 90-pint and 135-pint capacities can be installed in basements, crawlspaces or attics. They incorporate built-in ventilation technology and fan-cycling features to provide better air circulation and mixing of the dehumidified air throughout a home. They can service homes up to 5,000 square feet and 7,400 square feet, respectively.
