Solenoid Solutions introduces a series of latching valves to reduce power drain. These valves use a force generated by a permanent magnet to hold the valve open or closed, which reduces the energy required for operation, the company said.

The latching valves are available in a complete range of sizes and configurations including two-way and three-way normally open and normally closed operation.

The valves only require a short pulse of energy to energize and de-energize the valve, but need no power to hold the valve in either the open or closed state.
