Thybar introduces laser cut, all welded construction Retro-mate adapters, which the company said offers a fast, cost-effective method of replacing rooftop HVACs. The old rooftop unit is removed, and then the Retro-mate is installed on top of the existing curb to adapt it to the new rooftop unit, the company explained. Installation often is accomplished in hours rather than days. Existing ductwork is utilized for even further savings, the company added.

The Retro-mate is factory prefabricated of heavy gauge galvanized or Galvalume steel. It includes 1-1/2” – 3 lb. insulation, transitions, baffles and structural supports that mate the new rooftop unit to the existing curb and ductwork.
