GeoStar introduces its Aston Series Console which uses environmentally friendly R-410A refrigerant and delivers room-to-room comfort with efficiency.
Using a single-speed rotary compressor, a high performance two-speed PSC fan motor and a large fan air coil, the Aston Series Console is efficient at low face velocities. The console also features FormiShield™ coil coating as an option for superior protection against formicary corrosion and an oversized and convoluted coaxial heat exchanger for maximum heat transfer. The console’s standard compressor control module (CCM) is a more reliable replacement for electro-mechanical control applications, while the optional microprocessor control board with expanded unit sensors is also available, the company explains. Both can be applied with unit or wall mounted thermostats.
Other optional features include:
- internally mounted electric backup heat
- electrical disconnectors (field installed)
- an extended range coaxial heat exchanger
- piping insulation to maximize the performance of the unit
The Aston Series Console is available in 0.75- to 1.5-ton capacities with flat, sloped and extended slope top design options to accommodate a variety of applications. The unit is ARI 350 sound rated to ensure quiet operation and offers the following maintenance and service advantages:
- Two removable compressor access panels
- Separate air handler and compressor section access panels for service testing without bypass
- Easy access to low voltage connector for easy thermostat wiring
- Quick attach wiring harnesses throughout for fast servicing
- High and low pressure refrigerant service parts
- Internal slide out blowers
