Johnson Controls Building Efficiency business unit introduces the new Acclimate™ Communicating Control from Luxaire® which communicates with every smart Luxaire device in a home comfort system, from air conditioners and furnaces to other system accessories.

Homeowners will appreciate the control’s stylish, easy-to-use, high-definition touch screen that ensures precise comfort control, displays maintenance reminders and provides the ability to custom program for convenience and energy savings.

Contractors will find that the unique control design delivers a number of time-saving and business-boosting features, beginning with a simple, four-wire plug-and-play design that eliminates time-consuming wiring and system checking at installation, the company says. As components are added to the system, the control’s auto configuration capability automatically recognizes and configures the components based on the comfort settings and operation requirements of the system.

The Acclimate Communicating Control offers contractors other features that contribute to improved profitability and increased selling opportunities, including:

  • Advanced diagnostics from a single location, providing contractors with a central point for system setup and diagnostics, saving time, money and extra steps
  • A customizable touch screen that allows a contractor to tailor control preferences for each customer and program maintenance reminders that prominently display the contractor’s contact information
  • Advanced digital technology to build a real-time system profile, displaying equipment and accessory status that provides contractors with precise information and better control
  • Built-in features that create natural up-sell opportunities for additional system accessories and services. Accessories not on a homeowner’s system but available through the contractor are shown on the control display, making the homeowner aware of the accessories and providing the contractor with an opportunity to discuss the product and integrate it into the system.
