Air King announces an addition to its line of ventilation fans: The BFQF Series is a do-it-yourselfer, snap-in installation exhaust fan/light combination. The new series provides a cost-effective ENERGY STAR® qualified solution for residential ventilation needs.

The BFQF Series is available in a quiet operating 50 CFM (BFQF50) model and a 70 CFM (BFQF70) model. The low sound level and energy efficient operation of the BFQF series allow them to be an excellent solution for ASHRAE 62.2 ventilation requirements as well as meeting the requirements of California Title 24 Building Efficiency Standard.

The included 26-watt energy efficient fluorescent lamp provides about as much light as a

100-watt incandescent bulb and the light lens disperses the light evenly throughout the room.

The BFQF Series can easily be installed by one person, using a convenient mounting bracket that is screwed to the joist. The high impact molded plastic housing then snaps into place. The mounting system eliminates the need for two people (above and below the ceiling). It also reduces both the time for installation and the frustration of struggling with the hanger bars or tabs while trying to hold the fan in place and attaching it to the joist. It is UL listed for installation over a tub or shower on a GFCI circuit.
