New Line of Air Heater Assemblies Protects Equipment From Environment

Spectrum Sensors & Controls has developed a line of air heater assemblies designed for applications that require space or an object to be heated indirectly. The new heater assemblies protect equipment from harsh environments by providing heat at cold temperatures and by keeping the components within an enclosure or near the heater assembly at a safe temperature, allowing for protected and reliable operation.

The blower assembly circulates warm air, preventing condensation on applications, such as security cameras, optic applications, and other applications where moisture can be an issue.

Spectrum’s new air heater assemblies protect sensitive equipment by incorporating PTC thermistor technology, which allows for self-regulating heating and ensures fast, accurate heat-up without additional protective circuitry.

With a wide range of sizes available, this compact, rugged, one-piece design is a perfect fit for many applications, the company said.

Voltage capacities for Spectrum’s air heater assemblies range from 5V to +240V, with a variety of power outputs available. In addition, the assembly can be combined with sensors and controls to only turn on heating when needed to minimize power use.
