American Hometec , Inc., a pioneer and leader of Coilless Technology for tankless water heaters, introduced its Model AHQ-T16. The new electric tankless water heater (also called demand water heater) can be used for mid-range hot water demands such as the average-sized bathroom. It is suitable for all water conditions and provides an unlimited supply of hot water, heating water only on demand and uses only the required energy needs.
The unit features the company’s patented Coilless Technology, which heats water indirectly through unique heat transfer. Because there are no coils, the electric components are never in direct contact with the water being heated, preventing accumulation of lime scale inside the unit and increasing the unit’s longevity.
In addition to being energy efficient, the T16 is a modern looking machine. Intended to be a sleek bathroom fixture and installed in plain view, the unit features a brushed chrome frame, sophisticated blue LED smooth touch temperature control panel, and an easy-clean surface. Due to its compact size, the T16 unit is designed for point-of-use installation, which the U.S. Department of Energy recommends to help conserve both valuable water and energy.
The T16 unit allows the user to set a specific desired water temperature, is simple to use, is free of ongoing maintenance and backed by a best-in-industry warranty. The unit is available in a 16kW capacity size, with an electrical requirement of 240V (80 amp).
