Daikin AC (Americas), Inc. introduced the improved VRV®III-S, the next generation of energy-saving residential and light commercial heating and cooling equipment. The new heat pump systems are available in three and four-ton capacities that can connect to up to six and eight individually controlled fan coil units, respectively. The new model boasts higher SEER ratings that have increased by 9% and HSPF ratings that have increased by 12%.
VRVIII-S may be used as a complement to the other three-phase VRV product line to serve dedicated zones or applications where 208-230V, one-phase power is inevitable.
The VRVIII-S system’s built-in intelligence provides:
- precise temperature control in every room or zone
- maximum flexibility
- energy savings
- quiet operation
A particularly important change is the inclusion of Daikin’s newest G-Type inverter compressor and superior heat exchanger technology designed to increase efficiency.
The slim profile reduces installation space requirements allowing easy installation of the condensing unit on balconies and narrow ledges. Installers will enjoy maximum piping length of 492 feet. In addition, the total piping length is 984 feet and the maximum vertical differential between outdoor and indoor units is 164 feet.
The Daikin Super Wiring system allows shared use of the wiring between indoor and outdoor units and the centralized remote control. The non-polarity of the system prevents incorrect connection and reduces installation time.
VRVIII-S offers high energy saving, precisely controlled and monitored heating and cooling solutions for residential and small commercial building projects. The VRVIII-S system is delivered 80% complete, necessitates only a few piping and wiring connections, and is fully optimized by Daikin.
