The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA), the nation's largest association of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) contractors, has announced the installation of its 2010-11 Board of Directors and officers.
The board was installed at ACCA's 42nd Annual Conference and Indoor Air Expo in Tampa, Fla. The new officers officially took their positions at the annual Chairman's Banquet.
Last year's Chairman, Stan Johnson of Stan's Heating & Air Conditioning, Austin, Texas, handed the leadership role to incoming Chairman John Sedine of Engineered Heating & Cooling, Walker, Mich. Sedine will serve a one-year term.
"With all the economic and political turmoil in the past year, we have had an amazingly successful year under Stan Johnson's watch," says Paul Stalknecht, president and CEO of ACCA. "John Sedine now brings his own energy and agenda to the table, building on what Stan has established, and adding to it his own goals for the year. ACCA's members can be confident that we're well positioned to have another productive year."
Serving as senior vice chairman this year is Joe Nichter, Tri-City Mechanical, Chandler, Ariz. Other vice chairmen are Dave Kyle, Trademasters Service Corp., Newington, Va.; Tommy Castellano, Castellano Air Conditioning & Heating, Inc., Tampa, Fla.; and Mark Swepston, Atlas Butler Heating & Cooling, Columbus, Ohio. Secretary for the coming year is Bobby Ring, Meyer & Depew Co., Inc. of Kenilworth, N.J., and treasurer is Laura DiFilippo, DiFilippo's Service Co., Paoli, Pa. Chair of the Advisory Council is Ray Isaac, Isaac Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc., Rochester, N.Y. Johnson will serve this year as immediate past chairman.
The two newest additions to the board are Don Millard, Bel Red Heating and Air Conditioning, Mukilteo, Wash; and Bob Champe from Shearer Heating and Air Conditioning, Washington, Pa.
