Conditioned Air Corp., Naples, Fla., was named Residential Contractor of the Year on March 7 by the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA). HVACR Business contributor and editorial board member Theo Etzel is CEO and President of Conditioned Air. Etzel, with his management team, has grown the company's revenues by about $15 million since he became leader in 1995. According to the ACCA, which made the announcement at its annual convention in Tampa, Conditioned Air has been able to swiftly adjust to changing market conditions due to disciplined decision-making, open-book management, a conservative business plan, and empowered employees.
