As of February 1, 2010, the Contractors State License Board (CSLB) San Diego Office has moved to a new location:

9246 Lightwave Avenue

San Diego, CA, 92123

Investigative Center – Suite 130

Testing Center – Suite 310

The new Testing Center, which is located in Kearny Mesa, just south of Claremont Mesa

Boulevard, is double the size of the old location. This will allow CSLB to expand from 15 to 28 testing stations. This increased capacity will keep down wait times for applicants getting their contractor’s license or adding a classification. It should take applicants no longer than three weeks to schedule and take their exams.

Another feature of the new testing center is a separate area that will enable CSLB to offer

confidential testing, as part of reasonable accommodations requested by applicants through the

Americans with Disabilities Act. In the past the entire testing center had to be closed for an entire day so one applicant could take their exam in private.

CSLB’s Investigative Center is also moving to the new facility, which offers easy freeway access from Highways 52, 163 and Interstate 15, and free parking.
