The new Lennox SL280V variable speed gas furnace features two-stage heating but operates at low stage most of the time for more efficient performance. Combined with SilentComfort™ technology it is the quietest furnace in its class, the company says.

The new design allows contractors to use larger high-efficiency coils in applications where space is tight. Venting is out of the cabinet top with a rotatable inducer for simplified horizontal installations. A full-length, factory-formed discharge flanges for easy assembly and superior system sealing. The sealed blower compartment minimizes losses to less than 0.75% leakage at 1.0” external static pressure, while maximizing efficiency and comfort, the company says. With front-facing screws for the igniter and flame-rod service, access is easy. And the advanced system self-diagnostics help service allows techs to quickly and accurately identify potential service issues.
