Klein Tools, a leading manufacturer of professional hand tools and occupational equipment, has announced the promotion of Mark P. Klein to Director, North American Sales.
In this new role, Klein is responsible for the direction, coordination and development of
sales growth in the Electrical, Telecom and Utilities channels. His new position also entails overseeing the design and execution of strategic sales plans and product promotions for
the company’s North American sales force and Rep organizations.
Most recently, Klein served as Manager, Strategic Channel Development, which included
all of Canada, HVAC, Telecom, Utilities, and MRO. Prior to that role, Mark served as the Channel Manager, HVAC, in which he led the initial launch of Klein’s first HVAC program, growing that business and gaining market share in that previously untapped channel. Mark’s earlier positions at Klein Tools included Sales and Marketing Specialist of mechanic’s tools for aviation, automotive and marine markets, and buyer in the purchasing department.
Before his employment at Klein Tools, Klein was an inventory management buyer at Anixter International, a distributor of communication products, electrical and electronic wire, cable, and fasteners.
Klein holds a BA from the University of Iowa, an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, and will be attending Northwestern University in the fall, 2010.
