Polar Technology has opened the doors to the first and only refrigerant-reclamation company in the Caribbean dedicated to recovery and recycling. The plant is located at the Mario Julia Industrial Park, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

“We are thrilled to have a plant in Puerto Rico,” said Ted Atwood, President/Founder of Polar Technology. “We hope that by expanding our company to the Caribbean we will create more awareness and education on the importance of environmental stewardship in the refrigeration industry.”

More than 100 industry representatives attended Polar Technology’s Puerto Rico Open House. A crowd of people in safety goggles walked through the plant and lab learning about Polar’s proprietary technology, the importance of safety & compliance and the day to day routine of the refrigerant reclamation business.
