Profits, P&L, Pricing, and More, a four-week onlinetraining class taught by long-time industry consultant and HVACR Businesscolumnist, Ruth King, is the first Internet training class approved for Carrierand Bryant Factor Authorized dealers.

"It will earn the dealer one-day of Carrier FADtraining credit upon successful completion of the class, said David Glenn, manager of education programs. “But it is important for the dealer consideringthis class to understand that it is not a fluffy, easy class. Internet classescan be some of the most difficult because much of the real work in the class isdone outside of the time spent online listening to the instructor. Thereis weekly homework, and participants will not receive credit for the classuntil all work in the class is completed successfully."

King said one of the benefits of online learning isflexibility.

“If a contractor missed the live class, he can watch it athis leisure, even at 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Or, if he didn’t understand allof the concepts taught, unlike a traditional classroom, he can watch theprogram as many times as he needs to.

“My goal is for all HVAC contractors to truly ‘get’ thefinancial side of his business and use financial information to make goodbusiness decisions.”

This four-week class begins April 28 and continues onTuesdays until May 19.
