The Home Depot is pledging more than $300,000 in scholarships to support the construction trades, including HVACR programs.

The Home Depot Trade Scholarship Program is open to students currently enrolled in building and construction trades programs at colleges, trade schools, universities, and apprenticeship programs. The Home Depot established the program to meet the needs of the future generation of building and construction trade professionals.

The program will recognize more than 600 students nationwide that are on track to graduate within the next 12 months with a $500 scholarship to help offset the cost of their qualifying tuition and related expenses.

The application deadline is June 20. Winners will be announced in September 2009. To apply for the scholarship and learn more, visit http://www.hvacexcellence.org and click on the scholarship link.
