Mitsubishi Promotes Mark Kuntz to Senior VP, Product Strategy and Engineering
SUWANEE, Ga. — Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division (Mitsubishi Electric), has promoted Mark Kuntz from to senior vice president, product strategy and engineering.
In his new role, Kuntz will provide strategic and operational leadership to the product planning, product marketing, in-market product development, OEM solutions and industry/government relations functions. He’ll oversee the creation, design and development of all division products and engineered solutions as head of the Engineering Center, Mitsubishi Electric’s 35-person, Atlanta-based team focusing on the North American market.
This includes establishing a seamless process for new product development and strengthening product design. Kuntz will also lead the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships and alliances.
Kuntz graduated with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering in 1984 from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, California and received his master’s degree in business administration from Southern Methodist University in 1998.
He is professional engineer licensed by the state of California a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and A/C Engineers, a board member of the Green Building Initiative and a LEED Accredited Professional
Shuji Morisaki was also promoted to executive vice president, Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division. Morisaki joined the division in April 2013. Since that time he has overseen Mitsubishi Electric’s continued solid growth trajectory.
