Totaline Vacuum Pumps Save Money

Johnson Controls recently introduced a new Windows software service guide for York gas and oil furnaces. The software is a part of the ProficienTECH series of media-based technical training, created by Johnson Controls — Unitary Products.

Alltel Launches TimecardGPS

Alltel Wireless introduces TimecardGPS, an application that enables users to track an employee’s location, record shift time and capture job or work order information from LBS-enabled wireless phones. The TimecardGPS application, available for $12.49 per handset per month, allows business professionals to increase productivity by using their wireless device to perform a variety of tasks, including: Tracking — Enables supervisors to request field workers locations, track movement and set up “smart fences” to determine employee location; Team Clock-in and Out — Allows a supervisor to clock-in and clock-out employees as well as capture individual task information on a single wireless device and Real-time job tracking — Sends real-time job information from field workers to employers, complete with tasks, subtasks and editable fields

HVAC Training Package Available On CD

“Understanding Manual J,” a CD training package, is the second in a new series of training materials being released by the Air Conditioning Contractors of America under the name “HVAC Essentials.” These recorded training sessions allow people (individually or in groups) to learn these vital concepts at their own pace, in segments or all at once. The software allows contractors to offer in-house training at a low cost.

“Understanding Manual J” consists of four CDs, each including one segment of around 60 minutes: “Guidelines and Limitations”, “How Heat Moves and What To Measure”, “Design Conditions and Fenestration”, and “Opaque Surfaces and Duct Systems.”

JuggerNaut Inverter Duty Motors Now Available

A. O. Smith Electrical Products Co. introduces a new line of inverter duty condenser fan replacement motors for commercial air conditioning and refrigeration markets.

The new line of motors, called JuggerNaut, is the first in the industry designed to hold up to the rigorous demands inverters place on motors.

Designing with a UL & CSA approved non-hygroscopic Class F insulation system achieves superior dielectric strength for long thermal life. While most commercial condenser fan replacement motors have Class B insulation systems rated for 60°C (140°F) ambient, JuggerNaut motors are rated for 70°C (158°F) max ambient.
