Split-System Heat Pumps Offer 18 SEER

Coleman, a brand of residential and light-commercial hvac equipment manufactured by Johnson Controls, introduces its new Echelon split-system heat pumps, providing HSPF ratings of up to 10.0 and SEER ratings of up to 18.

Available in 2 through 5 tons, the Echelon units come in four models, each measuring 39.5 inches high by 34 inches wide by 42 inches deep. Like existing Echelon heat pumps, the new units use environmentally friendly R-410A refrigerant and deliver exceptional performance, reliability and comfort for both hvac dealers/contractors and consumers.

Pump Out Acidic Condensate

CP-22 Condensate Pump is suitable for use with condensate from high efficiency condensing furnaces and boilers that produce acidic condensate. The pump has 22 feet of lift, compared with the typical 20 feet. With 95% Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE), Johnson Controls’ York Latitude GY9F high-efficiency gas furnace is ENERGY STAR qualified, exceeding the minimum efficiency standards established by the U.S. Department of Energy. This unit also is eligible for a $150 tax credit.

The redesigned GY9F features a steel-casing heat-exchanger liner that provides insulation for silent operation and stronger cabinet design. The new design also allows technicians to easily access, maintain and service the GY9F.

Video-Assisted Cleaning

Rotobrush International LLC, a provider of air duct cleaning, announces the launch of its newly enhanced Roto-Vision video inspection system, designed for video-assisted air duct cleaning. The 1 1/8-inch digital, lighted, color camera now features a 10.4-inch color LCD screen.

Heat Is On For Smokers

With more than 50% of the United States enacting legislation to prohibit smoking in public places such as restaurants and bars, many owners are using outdoor heaters on their decks and patios to accommodate customers who must step outside to smoke.
