Capsules Add Dye Without Mess

Heatcraft Introduces EC Motors for Unit Coolers

Heatcraft Refrigeration Products LLC introduces an energy-efficient EC motor option for new Bohn, Larkin, Climate Control and Chandler brand unit coolers. EC motors lower energy costs and significantly improve unit cooler performance. EC motors are up to 85% efficient with test data showing a 51% to 60% increase over shaded pole motors and a 30% to 40% increase over permanent-split capacitor motors. 30-Ton AC Unit Added To Rental Fleet

Carrier Rental Systems (CRS) has added a customized, 30-ton portable air conditioner to its rental fleet. The internal skid structure for fork-lifting is a unique feature on the 30-ton unit. CRS offers rental-cooling equipment from 1 to 3,000 tons. CRS is a subsidiary of Carrier Corp. that specializes in the rental of simple to complex temperature and humidity control equipment. System Provides Cooling In Hot Conditions

The Portable Bag System for industrial workers is a cooling system that uses a lightweight, water-proof canvas denier bag with a 12V internal pump, 12V battery, insulated water hose, and the original COOL SHIRT. Program Allows User To Size More Accurately

A. O. Smith announces the online availability of its sizing guide, Acc-U-Size. This program allows the user to size commercial applications with 17 options for water heaters and boilers. Applications can use gas, electric, or oil as a source of heat. Acc-U-Size comes with drawings for dimensional and piping functions. These drawings and project summaries can be printed or exported to other Windows-compatible programs. Acc-U-Size will also calculate the cost of operation. Condensate Units Added To Pumps

Hydromatic, a provider of wastewater pumps for municipal, commercial and residential markets, is adding condensate units to its lines of submersible wastewater sump, sewage, effluent, grinder, and large non-clog pumps. The three new pumps simplify the selection process by filling 80% or more of condensate removal needs, including air conditioner evaporator coils and high-efficiency condensing gas furnaces and water heaters. Leak-Detection Method Redeveloped For HVACR

Mainstream Engineering has introduced a new heat exchanger leak-detection method — the QwikDetector HE for all brands of high-efficiency gas-fired condensing furnaces. Originally invented for U.S. Air Force fighter jets, the QwikDetector-HE has been redeveloped for the hvacr trade as a three-ounce aerosolized can with a four-inch nozzle extension and easy-to-follow, 12-step illustrated procedure guide. Sensor Comes In Two Sizes

Hart Scientific, a division of Fluke Corp., has added the 5609 Secondary Reference Temperature Sensor to its line of high-temperature platinum resistance thermometers (PRTs). The 100-ohm sensor has a temperature range of -200 °C to 670 °C, with short-term repeatability and long-term drift of +/- 0.01 °C at 0.010 °C. Group Offers Spanish-Language Training Library

The Mechanical Contractors Association of America Inc. offers a Spanish-language training library, which consists of 23 industry-specific training programs on DVD. Each program is about 12 minutes long and is available to both members and non-members for $395. Strainers Come With Screen Options
