Energy Recovery Ventilators Improve Indoor Air Quality

Filter Protects Air Conditioners

Permatron Corp.’s PreVent wrap-around air-conditioner filter is designed to protect central air conditioning air-intake louvers/fins from debris that clogs fin surfaces, insulates coils, and decreases equipment efficiency. The UV-protected, washable 3-D electrostatic polypropylene filter has a flexible vinyl edge that attaches to the unit by bungee hook cords to any size AC unit. Panasonic Home & Environment Co. announces WhisperComfort, a new spot energy recovery ventilator (ERV), and the first ceiling-insert ERV in the United States. The ERV exhausts stale air from inside the home and replaces it with fresh air from outdoors, providing an affordable way to efficiently meet spot or whole-house ventilation requirements. New High Wind/Hurricane Fans Introduced

Greenheck has introduced a new line of high-wind and hurricane exhaust fans tested and certified to withstand winds up to 150 mph with no tie-downs to the roof. Combination Filter Removes Gases

Purafil Inc. introduces the Purafilter—OA (Outside Air), a combination particulate and chemical filter. The unit contains Purafil’s Triple-Blend Makeup Air Media to remove gases such as nitric oxide, nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide, ozone, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
