New DB-Differential Bypass Valve
A new Differential Bypass (DB) Valve that is designed to control excess flow in hydronic systems has been introduced by Bell & Gossett. When there is a reduction in demand, the new valve acts as a bypass while ensuring adequate flow to the remaining open circuits. Designed to be used in systems where heating loads may be excluded from the circuit as zone valves close, the DB-Differential Bypass Valve also helps reduce velocity noise caused by excess flow through the circuits while maintaining the pump head at a constant value.
Features include an all-brass body with non-ferrous internals; horizontal or vertical installation; ¾-in. connection; maximum working pressure of 150 PSIG; and a maximum operating temperature of 230F.

Redesigned Air Conditioner Eliminates Need for TXV
Improvements to the York® [mc]2 MicroChannel MiniCube 13 SEER air conditioner eliminate the need for a thermostatic expansion valve (TXV). The redesigned unit features a microchannel coil with enhanced heat transfer characteristics, enabling the unit to achieve the desired performance levels with less coil surface area, and a piston-metering device. As a result, when moving from 10 to13 SEER efficiency, the unit’s footprint remains 21¾ inches square, making it small and an ideal fit for multi-family applications, or anywhere cooling is essential and space is limited.
Available in 1 to 2½ ton sizes.

Ultra-Low Pressure Documenting Calibrator
Setra Systems introduces the Micro-Cal Model 869, Ultra-Low Pressure Documenting Calibrator, specifically designed for air-handling processes in critical environments that require portable, high-accuracy and low-pressure documenting calibration to certify pressure needs. The Model 869 provides this capability by performing calibration checks on sensors with accuracies as high as .00025 in. w.c.
The Micro-Cal 869 was engineered to be portable, lightweight, and compact for use in cramped or remote locations. Battery-powered, it provides a minimum of eight hours of operation, with recorded calibration times as fast as five minutes per unit.
