New Mini-Splits
New Heil 13 SEER mini-splits are designed to help dealers broaden their product offerings to include markets that require small-space heating and cooling applications where it is difficult to run ductwork. The units are available in both single and dual air conditioner heat pump models. Heat pumps offer 7.7 HSPF high-wall efficiency. Available in 3/4 to 3-ton cooling capacities. –heil-hvac.com

Custom Bases for Rooftop Equipment
New laser-cut, custom bases for rooftop equipment feature advanced technology to offer tight tolerances, and allow for a superior weld at a competitive price. Each base is custom manufactured. Delivery is usually within two weeks after receipt of order. Options include a built-in roof pitch, extra height for installation of sound traps beneath the unit, and a pressure-treated wood nailer. Bases are shipped to the job site in one piece if possible; if not, all pieces are welded and the number of pieces is kept to a minimum. –thybar.com

X13 Motor, Successor to PSC Motor Technology
GE ECM by Regal-Beloit introduces the X13 HVAC blower motor — the successor to PSC motor technology, offering efficiencies up to 200% greater. X13 is the brand name for a new category of motors referred to as Standard ECM, and provides an easy way for manufacturers to update their systems to 13 SEER energy standards. Features include a brushless DC, permanent-magnet design that is inherently more efficient over a wide speed range than a PSC design, and a permanent magnet rotor that does not require current to be induced against the air gap between the rotor and stator, a characteristic that results in efficiency losses as heat. –thedealertoolbox.com

13 SEER A/C With Microchannel Technology
The new Coleman [mc] 2™ MicroChannel MiniCube 13 SEER air conditioner uses an aluminum microchannel technology coil to provide higher efficiency without a corresponding increase in coil surface area, reducing the size of the unit by up to 40% and enabling it to use less refrigerant. Available in 1 to 3 tons, this new air conditioner is ideal for multi-family applications, or anywhere cooling is essential and space is limited. The unit’s footprint is 21-inches square, and its height varies from 22-inches to 30-inches, depending on the unit’s capacity. –colemanac.com
