Cambridge Engineering Unveils Ultra-High-Efficiency Space Heater for Small Unit Heater Market
ST. LOUIS, MO — Designed with the specific needs of HVAC contractors in mind, Cambridge Engineering has introduced a new line of Blow-Thru® Direct Gas-Fired Space Heaters – called the Cambridge SA-Series and built for ease of installation, safety and efficiency in heating smaller commercial and industrial facilities.
Like the larger ultra-high-efficiency Cambridge S-Series, SA-Series heaters are pre-piped and pre-wired, simplifying installation and start-up for contractors. In retrofit applications, the gas and electric connections from the unit being replaced can be used. Additionally, the SA-Series offers the flexibility of being mounted thru-wall, under roof, or on rooftop, potentially providing more useable interior space. Industry-preferred round ducts can be utilized. As with other Cambridge heaters, the stainless steel burners are warranted for five full years, with all other components warranted for two years.
The SA-Series provides the commercial and industrial marketplace with an affordable ultra-high-efficiency space heater for customers looking to upgrade or replace their existing unit heaters.
Utilizing 100% outside air for efficient direct gas-fired heating, these heaters employ a proprietary stainless steel burner mounted downstream of the blower. The high-velocity blower minimizes stratification and increases throw, providing even comfort throughout the building. Additionally, the unit can be used to provide summer or winter ventilation. The SA-Series achieves 100% combustion efficiency and provides 160oF maximum allowable output temperatures.
The larger version of this heater is documented to achieve 40-70% energy savings over other unit heaters or traditional boiler applications. Computer modeling shows the SA-Series will achieve similar savings, providing a quick payback on unit and installation costs, and allow contractors to differentiate their offerings to their clients.
